Yesterday

Thanks for all your kind comments yesterday.  Sometimes it just all catches up with me and I can't breathe, and I don't want Chris to worry about me so I just need to say it to someone.  Today is better.

I'm nervous about my appointments today.  I have been researching a few things and I am going to ask for a few more tests.  Probably superfluous but I want to be sure we know EVERYTHING going into IVF #2.

Does anyone know anything about adrenal fatigue.  My aunt has this book called "Stop the Thyroid Madness" and it goes into how doctors don't test for it, and I have all the symptoms.  I know, I know... that doesn't mean I have it, but it won't hurt to test for it right?

Anyway, I will update on both dr's appointments later or tomorrow.  Have a great Wednesday.

i have never heard of adrenal fatigue, i just had to look it up. this time my doctore is testing me for something that is thyroid related. he said the same tests are done to determine something or other regarding the thyroid, but he is doing them specifically on me to see if i carry antibodies that prevent sperm from fertilizing an egg. i am a terrible IVF patient and barely listen, i just go where i'm told and do what i'm told.

My OBGYN thinks I have adrenal fatigue. I will be testing the adrenal hormones using a Saliva kit soon. I am reading a book suggested by a blogger " Adrenal Fatigue, The 21st Century Stress Syndrome".
I have done the saliva test before where DHEA and cortisol levels came back low, but I didn't respond well to the alternative treatment. Yes most Dr's don't test Saliva and the blood tests usually come back normal. If you want to get tested you should look for an MD who also focuses on alternative therapy etc. , someone that is more open to explore and is not sticking by the standard tests.
My symptoms are constant fatigue which is aggravated in the morning, foggy headaches, constantly hungry, mild depression for no reason and irritable at all times.
Cutting sugar, caffeine and processed food and eating more protein helps especially in the mornings.
Hope all goes well for you.

i tried last night to post a comment and was bewildered that the form never popped up, so i continued to try, it continued not to work, and i finally gave up and signed off, but not before combing my email archives for your email address, couldn't find it. when i closed my browser, there was the comment form. :( i felt like such an ass that i didn't check for it as that has happened before. i think i was just hurting so bad/so tired last night that something wasn't clicking in my brain.

i hope all went well today and i wanted to give you that hug i had all saved up for you yesterday, xoxo

I am so relieved...i was TRULY worried about you last nite and couldn't sleep (damn phone wasn't letting me comment, argh!)

Please consider talking to a counselor, even if it was temporary , even if you feel better. I did after our losses and still do. It helps. A lot.

I second what Rachel said. I see someone who is into alternative medicine.I have done the saliva test twice and she has really helped me with some other issues that really looked like Adrenal Fatigue in me...Candida and Leaky Gut Syndrome is what I had. My thyroid does run a little lower than what she would like to see, yet an MD told me I was in normal range. I like how my practioner tries to perfect it, "normal range" isn't good enough for her if it is causing some symptoms for me.
It never hurts to take more B and C vitamins from what I've been told.
I hope you find the right anwers and treatment for you.
