2009

I don't know about the rest of you but I am ready for 2009 to be OVER!!!

It started out okay, then went to being the best year of our lives (we were pregnant yay!), then went to being the worst year of my life (when we lost Cady), plus having to deal with my brother who had a physchotic break and was diagnosed as Bi-Polar w/schizo affective disorder (which comes along with manic-ness, delusions, paranoia and much more) when he held my mom at gun-point and we had to have him involuntarily committed (Thank GOD he is on meds now and seems to be doing much much better).

I can only have hope that 2010 will be a MUCH better year for myself and all of you as well.

So here's hoping that next year brings peace and happiness for us.

Hey Allison. I am glad I found your blog. I look forward to following your journey and offering support in any way I can. I second your call for peace and happiness in 2010! I know I'll be sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

I couldn't agree with you more! My husband lost his job, my parents divorced, my grandma got cancer, and (worst of all) we lost Maddie. I can't wait for 2010 - it's a whole new decade!

I'm so sorry that you're having such a rough 2009, and I sure hope the meds continue to work for your brother. I'm sending lots of positive thoughts to you, and hoping that you have a better year next year! In fact, let's not even wait for January 1 - hopefully it starts today!

I second that Ali, I'm way beyond ready to have 2009 be over. Although Calvin died in November of 2008, it's been the aftermath in 2009 that I'm ready to say good-bye to. Hugs...

I second that! I am not looking forward to the holidays and the saddness they'll bring but I cannot wait to be in 2010. Im right there with ya hun. Im so sorry that you are a part of our little club now, but I also would be lost without everyone out there whos going through these same things. One day you will get out of bed and before you know it the day will be over and you will wonder just how in the world you managed it, just like I am wondering now. I'll be praying for you hun, it does get a little easier each day, I promise. *HUGS*

Hey, I just found your blog from Holly's blog and first of all I am very very sorry for your loss.
I live in Houston, too. Spring/The Woodlands area actually. Not sure if you really live "in" Houston, but there's a support group call M.E.N.D. (Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death) that I go to on FM1960 every third Thursday if you're interested. E-mail me sometime if you need someone to talk to: ashley.frederickson@yahoo.com
((hugs))

Here from LFCA...

First, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.

I completely understand - 2009 went similarly for us. In January, we found out we were expecting. Then in May our world crumbled when we learned our baby might not make it. She was born on 8/28/09 and lived for an hour and a half. She is the best thing that happened to us, but her leaving us is the worst event of our lives. So, I definitely understand the mixture of emotions accompanying 2009.
